This pandan coconut cake can be displayed in an air-conditioned room (at least 18°C) for up to 4 hours. We do not recommend displaying or storing it without an air-con, especially under the hot sun or in warm and humid areas.

If refrigerated, thaw the cake at room temperature for 30 to 60 minutes or until the cream is soft to the touch. Do not consume it straight from the fridge as it will be crumbly and hard to cut.

Leftovers can be kept in the fridge in an air-tight container for up to 3 days. Thaw it for 20 to 30 minutes before consumption.

The pandan cake is made with gluten-free flour. However, as our kitchen handles eggs, dairy and wheat products daily, our bakes are not recommended for individuals with serious allergies.

Main ingredients: rice milk, white rice flour, brown rice flour, potato starch, tapioca starch, butter, eggs, sugar, pandan, coconut milk, oil, gula melaka sugar, desiccated coconut, baking powder, baking soda, salt.

The pandan cake is baked fresh daily in our facility in Singapore, which handles eggs, dairy, and wheat products.

Frequently Asked Questions About Our Gluten-Free Pandan Cakes

Is pandan healthy?

Yes, indeed. Pandan is a natural source of vitamins and antioxidants, such as Vitamin C and beta-carotene, known for their immunity-boosting properties. It is no wonder pandan has made its way into so many cookbooks around the world. So, go ahead and savour that extra slice of cake!

Is pandan cake a traditional Singaporean dessert?

Pandan cake holds a special place in the hearts (and stomachs!) of Singaporeans. Widely popular as a local dessert, it is traditionally enjoyed as a mildly sweet fluffy chiffon cake. Today, the heritage favourite has found its way into many contemporary creations, often paired with gula melaka and coconut. Many modern interpretations, such as gluten-free versions, also cater to various dietary needs.

Our bakery in Singapore celebrates the country's local flavours with our own unique twists on classic desserts, such as our delightful gluten-free pandan cake and well-loved pineapple tarts.

Can I customise my pandan cake?

Absolutely! At Edith Patisserie, we believe in creating cakes as special as your celebrations. Whether it is for a birthday cake or a heartfelt gesture, we offer customisations to suit various needs and occasions. You can personalise elements such as the cake size and decorations, and even add a special message to it.

Simple modifications on our semi-customised cakes are available within two days. Meanwhile, for fully-customised bakes with more complex designs, do factor up to two weeks of ordering lead time.

Is your pandan cake halal?

While Edith Patisserie is not halal-certified, our gluten-free pandan cake is crafted without any alcohol, beef gelatin, or pork gelatin.

However, do note that our kitchen handles alcohol and beef gelatin for some of our other cake flavours, such as the Black Forest Cake and Rum and Raisin Cake.

Can I freeze the pandan cake to preserve it for longer?

Yes, you can! Our pandan cake's frosting is made with buttercream, which freezes well without compromising its smooth texture. To freeze, simply place the cake uncovered (whole or sliced) in the freezer for about four hours until solid. Once frozen, wrap it securely in aluminum foil and plastic wrap, and store it in the freezer for up to three months.

To defrost, place the cake in the fridge for at least a day to thaw, then let it sit on the counter to come to room temperature before consuming it.
