Our Story

Established in 2013, Edith Patisserie is a local bakery specialising in layered cakes, brownies and tarts for birthdays, weddings and all types of celebrations. We strive to create new and original designs, as well as unique flavour pairings that intrigue and excite. We keep our baking batches small to ensure freshness and quality. 

Our recipes are meticulously taste-tested and tailored to local palates, meaning that they are lower in sugar, moist and tender. We also offer a range of healthier cake options for those with special dietary requirements - as purveyors of cake, we strive to offer something delicious for everyone.

Why "Edith Patisserie"? The bakery is named in memory of Ethel's mother, who passed away when she was 18. We hope that our humble philosophy does her proud, and that our bakes bring you the warmth and comfort of family, celebration and happy memories.

Cake Froster & Decorator (Full-Time)

- Learn how to frost and decorate all kinds of cakes, from everyday designs to showstopping tiered cakes!
- Prepare and decorate mini bites like tarts, cupcakes, brownies and more
- Valid food hygiene certification required
- Pastry diploma or some commercial bakery experience required

- Learn how to bake everything from cake sponges to macarons
- Create beautiful and intricate fondant toppers and sugar decorations
- Valid food hygiene certification required
- Pastry diploma or some commercial bakery experience required

- Execute and maintain operations for service excellence
- Be a brand ambassador by projecting a positive and professional image
- Establish interpersonal relationships with customers 
- No experience required, just a friendly face and positive attitude!

Kitchen Assistant (Part-Time)

- Learn how to decorate tarts, cupcakes and mini bites
- Cook pastry components such as creams, ganache and buttercream 
- Learn how to sculpt simple fondant decorations and figurines
- Valid food hygiene certification required
- Flexi shifts available

Driver (Ad-Hoc)

- Liaise with customers regarding cake deliveries
- Deliver cakes on time 
- Confirm good condition of items when delivered
- Report back to logistics team regarding completion of deliveries
- Deliveries will be allocated based on your availability and rates will be confirmed prior to jobs being confirmed
- Applicants to use their own vehicle (passenger or commercial, no motorbikes)
- To be polite with good communication skills
- Valid Class 3/3A driver's licence
